Just starting out on any big adventure is daunting. You get butterflies because of the excitement-- the unknown. Sometimes, it can become overwhelming, but it's all about actually starting the thing. Then, it's about putting one foot in front of the other until you've made it to the summit. 

When I lived in Colorado, I would hike up 14ers during the summer months. 14ers are mountains that are at least 14,000 feet in elevation. It's tough. From the thin air to the elevation gain, you've got your work cut out for you.

But you know what?

It's worth it because you're doing something. You feel alive-- because you are. The cool mountain breeze on your face. The crisp clean air. The panoramic views. Summit beers.

Driftwood Of California is like that. It's not going to be easy. It's going to be tough.

But you know what?

It's going to be worth it. And, this is just the beginning.
